The Professional Practice of Architectural Detailing
The Professional Practice of Architectural Detailing
The concept of detailing is part of architecture and a mean to control the total building process, The knowledge of details and how parts are assembled is necessary for functioning well in such other areas like drafting a floor plan or even designing a building.
In this book, we attempt to not only cover the “whys” and “hows” of the methods by which things are connected but to show actual finished drawn details as well. The book examines, in great depth, each area of detailing so as it functions as a ready reference as well as a textbook.
This book is written with the reader in mind. Language and concepts are kept simple, because we assume that the individual reading this book is has little to no background in architecture; we do assume however, that the reader has some basic mechanical or industrial knowledge.
